Our 11 year old daughter began reading prior to kindergarten. However, as time progressed her reading skills did not improve. She was reading slowly and lacked fluency. In order to keep pace with her peers she would skip or guess at words. At the beginning of her fifth grade year her struggles intensified. Our daughter’s reading grades dropped, and we had many stressful and tearful nights with homework. Tutoring from a favorite teacher at her school helped somewhat. Nonetheless, in order to ensure that our daughter would not lose her love for learning we needed to do something more. We enrolle
